Steps has always been at the forefront of improving treatment and support for families affected by congenital lower limb conditions. But we began with clubfoot, a condition with a name that describes the position of a newborns foot or feet as being rotated internally at the ankle, so that the foot or feet appear to point down and inwards.
Clubfoot, is a serious condition with profound consequences if left untreated. Without treatment, these children would experience pain and would be unable to walk or move properly, consigning them to a life of disability with the risk of discrimination and marginalisation.
For that reason, we are delighted to announce our partnership with the Global Clubfoot Initiative, a community of organisations committed to improving access to the Ponseti method in Low and Middle Income Countries from a lowly 15% to 70% by 2030. Please, support us with this.
