About Steps
Finding out that your child has clubfoot, hip dysplasia or any other lower limb condition can be a confusing and emotional time. As well as dealing with your own emotions and concerns for the future, you may also need to offer support and advice to other family members such as partners, children and grandparents.
Every year, over 2000 families contact STEPS, often in desperation, for clear information about their child’s condition, the treatment options available and how to care for their child on a daily basis.
We understand that this can be a very confusing time. We want to ensure that anyone affected by clubfoot, hip dysplasia and any other lower limb condition receives the best standard of treatment, information and support that they need.
STEPS aim to support anyone affected by clubfoot, hip dysplasia and any other lower limb condition – we bring people together, provide dedicated information and campaign for change.
We want to develop STEPS as a family support group in partnership with beneficiaries, health professionals and other organisations. We will raise our profile nationally and internationally as the representative body for people with hip, leg and foot conditions and as the provider of high quality information.
Welcome to STEPS. We are a small national charity supporting children and adults affected by a lower limb condition such as clubfoot or a hip condition.
