Getting the support you need
STEPS is the leading voice of lower limb conditions. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting individuals, families and carers affected by clubfoot, hip dysplasia or any other lower limb condition.
STEPS offers confidential advice and support to people affected by hip dysplasia, clubfoot and other lower limb conditions.
We are the UK’s only national charity which supports ALL lower limb conditions. Our valuable experience and knowledge can help you make confident and informed decisions at what can be a confusing and difficult time.
We offer a wide range of services (many free of charge) to help and support family, friends and individuals. We are continually developing resources to reach more families and raise awareness of the conditions we support
We won’t tell you what to do, but we will help you to consider your options, try to clarify any issues you may have and suggest questions you may want to ask your doctors. Similarly after treatment, we are here to help you through.
For further information about the conditions we support, treatment options available and care advice please look at the relevant sections below or above on the left-hand side.
"STEPS means the world to our family. They have put us in touch with loads of people who are now friends of ours and helped us to feel that we were not alone in Ben's Talipes journey. Everyone at STEPS and other parents on the forum have helped us loads and we will never forget them!"
" The advice you gave me when I was in despair of how to cope when my daughter was in the cast through the summer heat, keeping nappies from leaking ( I was waking two hourly through the night to change her) and so much more was my life line. You gave me advice for getting a car seat and a pushchair so I could manage at home, which was all so helpful. Thank you STEPS for being such a wonderful charity"
"We really enjoyed our visit today, it was very beneficial coming down to chat to yourself and the others at the office, its certainly made me feel a lot better and made me look a lot more positive on the things I'm going through. One of the hardest parts for me was finding people who understand and are willing to chat! You all deserve a medal for the work your doing at STEPS, it really is commendable what you have achieved with the hard work you have done!"
