Meet The Team

Steps is the national charity working for all those whose lives are affected by childhood lower limb conditions. Recognised as the leading charity in the field, we’re based in Warrington, Cheshire, but cover the whole of the UK. Our staff team combines office-based and home-based roles and is responsible for all the day-to-day aspects of the charity’s work.

Paul Norton Managing Director

Paul is responsible for Steps’ fundraising, communications and marketing, including our digital activity. He also deals with enquiries concerning the use of Steps’ brand or marks. Contact Paul here

Sue Birch-Fell Finance and Operations Officer

Sue is the longest serving member of the team and is responsible for the charity’s finances and bookkeeping. She also provides HR and operations support and back-up for the national helpline. Contact Sue here

Alison Littlemore Administrator

Alison is the newest member of the team and handles the information and general queries coming into Steps. She provides support across a range of our functions, including fundraising, and is most likely to be the person you speak to if you call our enquiries number. Contact Alison here

Therese McCann National Co-ordinator

Therese is responsible for our national helpline, together with the email and social media support we give to our families. She also manages the recruitment and training of the volunteers who give their time to support Steps. Contact Therese here

Emma Morley Research and Information Officer

Emma is responsible for producing all of Step’s condition-related information, both in print and online, and provides back-up for our national helpline. She also leads on our research activity and is involved with a wide range of ongoing research projects. Contact Emma here
