Why has this happened'; What is the best treatment'; Two common questions once lower limb disorders have been discovered, and it is something steps is very keen to keep working on - to eventually be able to prevent it happening in the future. Research in Aberdeen, for example, examines the causal nature of congenital talipes (clubfoot). This gift could help us work to find some answers. |

£50 - would help raise awareness in a developing country of the Ponseti method of treating clubfoot with medical profession and parents (100 posters and awareness sessions)
£300 - this would enable the full treatment of a child in a developing country with clubfoot. Treatment period of four years. |

How often children and families affected by lower limb problems will need special equipment not funded by the NHS, which Steps helps to provide. Special chairs, wheelchairs and prams, for example, can be loaned to parents with children in body plaster. |
