BHHW 2010 How you can help
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

Whilst we are delighted with the progress we have made so far with our Baby Hip Health Campaign but the big problem is that the Trusts do not have to adopt the policies.    In addition there is an ongoing issue with the GPs who operate as contractors and a not required to show their competency for a) carrying out the examination b) awareness of the condition/ timings etc. which is why we still need your support.

“I put my faith completely in the health system that has denied my daughter a normal life.” added Oonagh Keith

HELP US TO HELP OTHER PARENTS LIKE YOU:-

  • Host a 'Put the Kettle on' event whereby you hold a tea/coffee morning at home, work or in the community to spread the word about our campaign and help raise vital funds at the same time
  • Distribute the STEPS award wining leaflet on Baby Hip Health to your local surgery or clinic
  • Get your story featured in a local magazine or newspaper to raise awareness. Alternatively send us your story and we will try and get media coverage for you.

Anyone wishing to get further advice,  tell their story to the media, distribute leaflets or wanting to host a "Put the Kettle on" event please contact the STEPS helpline or email info@steps-charity.org.uk or phone 01925 750271
