Macclesfield Family Fun Day - Sunday 20th August 2006

It's Macclesfield Family Fun Day this coming Sunday (August 20). Each year West Park is completely transformed into Macclesfield's answer to Alton Towers.

Volunteers from The Foresters will be along with their stall to add to the entertainment, offering Temporary Tatoos and how about trying the 'Hook a Duck'! All funds raised from these activities are to help the work of steps.

So don't forget this weekend, come along and join the fun - we'll see you there.

Foresters is not a typical financial services provider. They sell life insurance and investments. But don't have shareholders. This means they can focus on serving their members and giving back to children and communities.

Each year Foresters help more than 17 million children through their partnerships with charitable organisations.

steps has been nominated as the chosen branch charity by Sheila Doherty, President of Dane Weaver Branch. This is the second year that steps has been supported by Dane Weaver branch and last year they raised over £3000 to support the work of steps. We are delighted to yet again be their chosen charity and thanks all their members for all their hard work and support.

Dane Weaver has got lots of things planned for the coming year to help raise even more money for steps, take a look at their web pages and see whats coming up!

For 130 years, Foresters has shared its strength in this way and believe the prosperity of their members and their families is linked to the communities in which they live.
