FundRaising Standards Board ( FRSB )

The FundRaising Standards Board scheme was set up after wide consultation with many charitable bodies and the Government. They are here to encourage excellence in fundraising and to listen to complaints from the public about fundraising activity.

The FundRaising Standards Board scheme represents a safety net for the public. If you think an organisation is raising money in an inappropriate manner, you now have a clear complaints procedure, beginning with the charity and if you are still dissatisfied then through the Fundraising Standards Board.

The Codes of Fundraising Practice

The Institute of Fundraising's Codes of Fundraising Practice represent the standards set for fundraisers in the UK. Each Code covers a separate fundraising technique, and provides information on areas of the law and guidance on the techniques themselves.

To see the Codes in full visit the Codes of Fundraising Practice section on the Institute of Fundraising website.

All fundraising organizations who sign up to the FundRaising Standards Board scheme agree to adhere to these codes when raising funds.

The Fundraising Promise

The FundRaising Standards Board Fundraising Promise is a commitment made to the public by members of the FundRaising Standards Board scheme, committing to the highest standards of best practice. All fundraising organisations who sign up to the scheme agree to adhere to these promises when raising funds.
