London Clubfoot Fun Day
Julie Hayden Baker's Family Fun Day 29th June 2008
One of our volunteers, Julie Hayden Baker, who has a 3 year old daughter with bilateral talipes, is holding a fundraising family fun day on Sunday 29th June and would like to invite you all to help her to make this happen . She welcomes any ideas of your own.

Date:   Sunday 29th June

Time:   3pm-7pm

Place:  Tudor Livesey Halls

225 Perry Hill

Catford

London SE6 4HD

It is proposed that the event will include:

Buffet

Kids Zone

Play Area, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle

Adult pamper zone

Massage, Reflexology, Manicures and Mini Facials

Cost:   Family Ticket 4 individuals (not including infants 1 year and under)                          £30*

Ticket for 3 individuals                                                                                                £25*

Ticket for 2 individuals                                                                                                £15*

Julie hopes that meeting in this way will allow parents of children with talipes to network and come up with more ideas to raise awareness about the condition and have fun!

Her ambition is to raise £3,000 to fund the implementation of an online version of the steps database of healthcare professionals working in the field of paediatric orthopaedics which will be accessible from the steps website. This will allow parents to have free access to the information they need which, I am sure some of you agree, would have been a godsend when you were trying to obtain consultants names etc

Julie’s own decision on where to obtain treatment for her daughter, Cam, was instigated when Cam was just 2 days old! She bumped into a mother in Mothercare whose 5 month old daughter was wearing boots and bar. This opened up a conversation about steps and Chelsea and Westminster.

With your support, Julie wants to help steps to raise awareness of the charity and the condition amongst various target audiences.

Contact Julie on 'Juliehaydenbaker@yahoo.co.uk' if you would like to commit to this event on the 29th, or make a donation to steps through Julie's just giving page using this link http://www.justgiving.com/juliehaydenbaker
