Personal Stories

‘At Steps we put people affected by lower limb conditions at the heart of everything we do. From our Awareness Campaigns (link coming soon!) to our Social Media Channels, your stories are vital to raise awareness of the reality of the conditions.

Personal stories highlight the experiences of people just like you. In this section you will  find stories from people who have been through the same journey as you, people who support a loved one and people who work in the orthopaedic fields. They share their own experiences and perspectives, and describe their personal journeys.

Through these pages we offer an insight into what it’s like to be diagnosed with a lower limb condition or have a loved one affected by it not only in the UK but all over the World. Lower limb conditions affect people from all communities and ages so help us reflect that diversity by sharing your story.

Personal stories highlight hope and well-being, not treatment advice. Check out our Parent Guides and Equipment section (link coming soon) of this site for fact sheets, parents guide and videos. We always recommend that you talk to your doctor or health care provider to discuss treatment options that might be a good fit for you, your family or loved one.

Do you have an experience that you would like to share? Share your story info@steps-charity.org.uk
